Moonlite Farms has been a vision since Debby and I had to leave the little 5 acre farm we were married on in 1976. Through careers, children and life’s other interruptions we always maintained the goal of one day returning to a little 5 acre plot to live out our retirement. Fast forward to 2012 and it looks like, after a 35 year career in the scrap metal business, we might finally have our goal within reach. What the heck happened?
The initial property purchase was just under 20 acres and it came with a garbage filled gully, a house that had been gutted after a fire, a thousand dead peach trees and an older mobile home. The purchase of the adjacent property in 2018 added another 19 acres to the farm and it came with 3 derelict barns, 3 uninhabitable mobile homes but the most magnificent view over a 50 acre beaver pond you can imagine.
We have built our new home here and put almost 1,500 hours on a New Holland Boomer clearing, cleaning up, planting and building and we are ready to invite you along for the rest of our journey.
